Responsibilities

• Launches new products into manufacturing.

• Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ensure program commitments for cycle time and process time.
• Participate in lean methodologies such as Kaizen events and value streams.
• Develop Manufacturing Plans.
• Oversee multiple projects for on-time, under-budget completion.
• Review plans, specifications and provisions.
• Collaborate with internal/external engineering and design teams.
• Attend pre-manufacturing, pre-fabrication and manufacturing meetings.
• Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Recommend removal or repair of defective parts.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Understand and apply safety requirements.

This position directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production and other production-related activities. Plant Manager reports directly to the President/CEO and is part of the Management Team.

SUMMARY

• Launches new products into manufacturing.
• Consistently searches for ways to improve processes, efficiencies, and product quality.
• Troubleshoots manufacturing process and equipment.
• Ensures program commitments for cycle time and process time are achieved.
• Participates in lean manufacturing methodologies such as Kaizen events and value steams.
• Develops Manufacturing Plans
• Standard Work Project; Tooling / Facilities Equipment Capacity; Develop Tooling and Operations Concepts; Generate Tool Specifications; Value Stream Flow Facility Floor Planning; Consumable Materials; Product Handling/ Flow
• Oversees all aspects of multiple projects insuring on-time and under budget project completion.
• Reviews plans, specifications and special provisions.
• Works directly with internal and external engineering and design teams for the design and manufacture of products.
• Provides representation at project meetings, attendance at pre-manufacturing, pre-fabrication and manufacturing meetings.
• Assists in troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Recommends removal or repair of defective parts or rebuilding the entire product.
• Occasional travel for business purposes may be required.
• Understanding and experience with safety required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing
