Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Johnson City, TN to design and optimize manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with teams to develop innovative equipment, create specifications, and manage external suppliers through development and buyoff stages.

The role requires hands-on experience with CNC machining, CATIA/SolidWorks, and a BS in Engineering, with at least 2 years in manufacturing. The company offers full benefits, a 401K match, PTO, and life insurance.

Responsibilities

• Design of manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with small teams on in-house development of novel and complex manufacturing equipment.
• Specification development for manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with external equipment suppliers on equipment design.
• Management of external equipment suppliers from development to buyoff.
• Validation and characterization of new equipment for production start.
• Partner with maintenance for root-cause analysis and downtime reduction.
• Fixturing and tooling design in CATIA or SolidWorks.
• Experience with CNC metal machining using CNC vertical centers and lathes.

Responsibilities

• Design of manufacturing processes.
• Collaboration with small teams on in-house development of novel and complex manufacturing equipment.
• Specification development for manufacturing equipment.
• Close collaboration with external equipment suppliers on equipment design.

• Partner with maintenance in root cause analysis of down equipment. Develop and implement changes to mitigate repetitive downtime.
• Fixturing and tooling design experience in CATIA or Solidworks
• Experience in CNC metal machining processes using CNC vertical machining centers and CNC lathes

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
• 1+ years in CNC machining, programming and cutting tool selection
• Experience with the selection of machining equipment
