Job summary

Golden State Foods is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support the EHS Manager and site team in developing and enhancing the facility’s Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. The role focuses on proactive safety engagement, coaching, and continuous improvement across the plant.

The coordinator will enforce safety standards, assist with investigations, conduct audits, and deliver EHS training to drive compliance and protect employees.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and coaching skills across all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Competence with Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong floor presence; engage and coach employees and contractors on safety best practices.
• Apply a proactive safety philosophy to identify and mitigate risks; develop policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Enforce and ensure adherence to all facility safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Lead and support Root Cause Investigations for incidents including first aid cases, near misses, and serious injuries.
• Coordinate and participate in annual emergency drills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Plan and deliver EHS training programs to drive compliance and employee understanding.
