Job summary

Golden State Foods is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator to support the EHS Manager and site team in developing and enhancing the facility’s safety, health, and environmental programs. The role emphasizes proactive safety engagement, employee coaching, and continuous improvement of safety initiatives.

You will lead investigations, assist with training, and ensure adherence to standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements across the plant.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Environmental Health & Safety in manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related regulations.
• Ability to work independently and influence others in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor presence; coach employees on safety best practices.
• Identify and mitigate risks; develop safety policies and procedures.
• Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Lead Root Cause Investigations for incidents, near misses, and injuries.
• Coordinate and perform equipment inspections and audits; document findings.
• Serve as SME on safety laws and internal policies.
• Collaborate in hazard audits with Safety Committee.
