Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Site Safety Lead for our manufacturing facility to advance safety, compliance, and employee engagement across the site. You will play a hands-on role in injury prevention and safety program execution, leading training, audits, and team projects.

The role requires experience in industrial environments and strong communication skills to report findings and drive improvements. The position typically follows a weekday schedule with potential for weekend coverage based on

Qualifications

• Passionate about safety as it relates to employee engagements, compliance, and injury prevention.
• Baseline knowledge of programs such as Lockout Tag out, PPE, Machine Guarding, Forklift Safety, Behavior Based Safety, 1 on 1 Engagements, Employee Led Teams, etc.
• Competent in the English Language (read, write, talk).

Responsibilities

• Active participant on all location employee led team projects.
• Communicate team projects to peers and location leaders.
• Serve as the location Subject Matter Expert on Behavior Based Safety (BBS) and train co-workers on the BBS Program.
• Conduct Safety Training for peers, new hires, visitors, and vendors.
• Audit On-The-Job Training for gaps and help correct them.
• Participate in Tier I and II Sessions and manage safety board updates.
• Train leaders and peers on 1 on 1 Engagements and Near Miss Reporting Programs.
• Analyze data from programs to identify trends and opportunities.
• Follow-up on Safety Flashes/Alerts from other locations.
• Honor site standard work activities for the Site Safety Lead.
