Job summary

Newlight Technologies, Inc. seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer to be a hands-on resource across manufacturing activities including injection molding, extrusion, maintenance, and labs.

The role supports a fast-paced facility in Huntington Beach with responsibility for safety, compliance, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate has a related degree, 3–5 years of EH&S experience in manufacturing, and a HAZWOPER certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years direct EH&S experience in manufacturing environments.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (24-hour acceptable).
• Trainer certification in LOTO/Confined Space/Fall protection or similar.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing team environment.
• Lead the 24-hour HAZWOPER team as needed.
• Own EH&S matters for your area and drive corrective actions.
• Participate in cGMP environments and ensure compliance.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal customers while maintaining safety.
