Job summary

Mach Industries in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a Lead EHS Engineer to provide technical leadership across manufacturing, prototyping, testing and operations. You will identify hazards, evaluate risk, and implement engineering and administrative controls to ensure regulatory compliance and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in EHS or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of EHS experience in high-hazard environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/Cal/OSHA regulations.
• Experience with hazard analyses, incident investigations, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to work with engineers, technicians, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical EHS SME across Mach operations.
• Identify, assess and mitigate hazards in manufacturing, prototyping, testing and facilities.
• Lead Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments.
• Apply hierarchy of controls to design safer processes.
• Develop and maintain safety programs (LOTO, machine guarding, etc.).
• Coordinate industrial hygiene monitoring and exposure assessments.
