Job summary

Vertex Manufacturing Digital Systems Co-Op in Boston offers a 6-month experiences training program for students pursuing undergraduate or advanced degrees in Engineering Sciences, Life Sciences, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related fields. The role focuses on digital tooling within Manufacturing, training materials, and system usability improvements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support MES and PI data historian platforms, and develop job aids and training

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field.
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for documentation.
Analytical mindset to collect, organize, interpret and present data.
Detail-oriented with accurate records and action tracking.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
US work authorization now and in the future; no sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

Support improvements that enhance end-user experience for Manufacturing digital systems (PI, MES, Tulip).
Review and update MES job aids for accuracy and alignment with processes.
Develop new MES job aids, quick references, guides, and user materials.
Review open MES worksheets weekly/biweekly and coordinate follow-ups.
Maintain trackers for worksheets, feedback, issues, and deviations.
Collect feedback from PI and MES users to assess adoption and training needs.
Analyze data to identify themes and opportunities for improvements.
Assist with collecting, organizing, validating, and analyzing Manufacturing data.
Create summaries, reports, and visuals to communicate trends to stakeholders.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Digital Tech, Quality, and cross-functional teams.
Follow site procedures and data integrity expectations.
