Vertex is seeking a Manufacturing Digital Systems Co‑Op in Boston for a 6‑month program, offering real projects and mentorship. You will contribute to digital tools used across Manufacturing, create training materials, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive improvements.

The role focuses on MES, PI data historian, and Tulip platforms, with hands‑on experience in data analysis and visualization. January–July 2027, full‑time paid internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master's in engineering, CS, information systems, data analytics, biotech, life sciences, or related discipline.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to create user-friendly documentation.
• Analytical mindset with ability to collect, organize, interpret, and communicate data.
• Detail-oriented review of documentation and tracking of follow-ups.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before May 2027.
• You must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from January–July 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support improvements across Manufacturing digital systems (PI, MES, Tulip).
• Review and update MES job aids to reflect current functionality.
• Develop new MES job aids, quick-reference guides, and user materials.
• Maintain trackers for worksheets, feedback, issues, and actions.
• Analyze user feedback to support training needs and system usability.
• Create clear summaries and visualizations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Digital Technology, Quality, and cross-functional partners.
• Follow site procedures and data integrity expectations.
