Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer to lead production-readiness for slotted brushless DC motors, transitioning prototypes to final production. You will partner with R&D to ensure manufacturability, develop tooling and process flows, and implement ISO/AS9100 controls, PPAP, and data-driven improvements.

Role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing/change, and compliance with export controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, process development, or related engineering.
• Strong understanding of ISO quality systems and continuous improvement.
• AS9100 experience preferred.
• Experience with Lean, transfer molding, laser welding, automation, machine vision, or Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Ability to support export-controlled projects and comply with export control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design engineers to ensure DFM/DFM during concept and prototype phases.
• Lead prototype builds and preproduction to identify manufacturability risks and implement countermeasures.
• Develop manufacturing tooling, fixtures, equipment, process flows and standard work for production readiness.
• Implement PPAP and production readiness docs including flow charts, control plans and PFMEAs.
• Collect and analyze build data, throughput, and operator feedback to improve quality and safety.
• Support ramp-up through troubleshooting, structured problem solving, and cross-functional communication.
• Identify automation and Industry 4.0 opportunities to improve productivity and data visibility.
• Support export-controlled projects with compliant work instructions and access controls.
