Job summary

Regal Rexnord's Portescap division seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to drive the design of small DC brushless motors from concept to production. You will lead electromagnetic design efforts and coordinate with customers, manufacturing, and sourcing teams.

The role requires deep experience in electric machine design, schematics, testing, and applying customer requirements to robust designs. Occasional travel up to 5% is expected in a fast-paced, global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• 5+ years in design and manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years in electric machine design.
• Experience with DC/AC motors including control, testing, specifications and applications.
• Ability to read and create electrical schematics and use component data sheets.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop miniature motor drive systems from concept to production.
• Work with customers to create technical proposals for new product applications.
• Support manufacturing staff with troubleshooting and provide feedback on quality.
• Collaborate with Customers, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or the Commercial Team to gather inputs.
• Develop and integrate innovative technologies to extend performance.
