Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with some college or technical training in mechanics or electronics; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two to five years of experience in a customer service-related position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, email, and order processing software.
• Working knowledge of inventory, manufacturing, and database software.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Solid mechanical aptitude, including an understanding of electronics.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, use hands, reach with hands and arms, communicate clearly and effectively, and lift up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to work in a moderate-to-loud noise environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with information requests.
• Perform customer service support functions and resolve customer complaints, concerns, and issues.
• Ensure phone coverage during set business hours.
• Answer customer inquiries and resolve issues.
• Process incoming inquiries in Customer Care.
• Process RMAs/CCFs.
• Process information in CRC Dash and related programs, JD Edwards, and Microsoft Office.
• Work with other departments to meet customer needs.
• Operate within and help improve Customer Service procedures using lean manufacturing principles.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and share it with Sales Representatives, customers, team members, and employees.
• Conform to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Perform other assigned duties or projects.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
