Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant & Financial Analyst in Mentor-on-the-Lake, OH to own cost accounting, inventory accounting, and management reporting for manufacturing operations.

You will partner with operations and finance to support budgeting, forecasting, monthly reports, and variance analysis, while maintaining standard costs, BOMs, labor standards, and overhead allocations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred but not required.
• 3-5 years progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Minimum 2 years manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costs for manufactured products and support cost updates.
• Review BOMs, routings, labor standards, and overhead allocations.
• Analyze material price/usage, labor rate/efficiency, overhead variances.
• Monitor inventory valuation and support GAAP compliance.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations for inventory/COGS.
• Support annual physical inventories and year-end audit requests.
