Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager for our manufacturing operations. The role leads month-end closes, maintains standard costs, and analyzes variances across multiple facilities to drive pricing decisions and efficiency.

Candidates should have 5+ years in manufacturing cost accounting, strong Excel skills, and ERP experience. This onsite position requires occasional travel to site facilities and a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA/CPA/CMA a plus.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing with hands-on cost accounting.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with BOMs, routings, and production costing.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month end cost accounting close, including inventory, WIP, and COGS entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain standard costs and analyze purchase price, labor, material, and overhead variances.
• Oversee inventory valuation and physical inventory and cycle count programs across multiple facilities.
• Maintain accurate BOMs and routings in partnership with operations.
• Develop machine and labor rates and overhead allocation methods.
• Provide production costing and plant floor financial analysis to support pricing, margin, and operational decisions.
• Find cost savings opportunities and work with plant leaders to implement.
• Support integration of acquired facilities into cost accounting processes.
• Supervise, train, and develop cost accounting staff.
• Prepare cost and inventory schedules for the annual audit and support internal controls over inventory.
• Travel to manufacturing facilities as necessary.
