Augmentis is conducting this search on behalf of our client, a publicly traded aerospace manufacturer with a 75-year history of growth and innovation. The role focuses on cost accounting within manufacturing, partnering with Operations and Inventory Control to improve gross margin and ensure accurate costing.

The successful candidate will support daily and monthly P&Ls, maintain standard costs, and contribute to ERP upgrades and LEAN initiatives while complying with US GAAP and company policies.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Expert skills in financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
• Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects within timelines and costs.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of Infor Visual Manufacturing and Infor Global Financials is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Outside Processing, and Inventory Control to improve operational excellence.
• Manage cost accounting transactions to ensure US GAAP compliance and costing policies.
• Ensure inventory valuation accuracy through costing, analysis, and cycle counts.
• Assist in daily and monthly P&Ls preparation.
• Review and update standard costs for each work cell and communicate margin analyses to Operations Management.
• Lead annual physical inventory counts and quarterly mini counts.
• Assist Controller in developing forecasts, budgets, and operating plans.
• Support ERP upgrades and LEAN initiatives.
