Job summary

Travis Body & Trailer, Inc. is seeking a Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance across our manufacturing operations. The role partners with operations and executive leadership to drive improvements, monitor performance, and develop metrics.

You will oversee month-end close, fixed assets, cost accounting, and SOX alignment while coaching management and ensuring accurate financial analysis to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing accounting in standard costing.
• Strong communication and management skills; leadership capability.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office; confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead local accounting functions and GAAP reporting.
• Own month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Manage fixed assets and capital documentation and AFE tracking.
• Prepare data summaries, forecasts, and budgeting documentation.
• Drive cost savings and process improvements with leadership.
• Ensure SOX documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Lead performance meetings and communicate key metrics.
• Oversee inventory processes, cycles, and controls.
• Coordinate internal/external audits and ensure cost accuracy.
• Train and coach leaders on financial performance basics.
