Job summary

Prototek Digital Manufacturing is seeking a Controller / Additive to lead financial close, cost accounting, and reporting for a manufacturing operation. You will partner with finance and operations to drive margins and provide actionable insights.

The role emphasizes inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, and audits, with ITAR-related US person requirements. CPA preferred; Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; 5+ years in manufacturing; ERP and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• CPA required (Strongly Preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and standard costing.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate insights to business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and reconciliations.
• Analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material, overhead, and PPV.
• Assist with annual audits, inventory observations, and audit support schedules.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting accuracy.
• Support standard costing processes, cost roll-ups, BOM validation, and inventory controls.
• Partner with plant leadership to improve operational and financial processes.
• Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP.
