Job summary

CPS, Inc. is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting functions in a manufacturing-related environment.

You will drive the day-to-day accounting operations and partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight and improve performance. The ideal candidate has manufacturing, construction, or project‑based accounting experience, with strong cost accounting, inventory, budgeting, and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience in cost accounting, job costing, and inventory valuation.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities for accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for accurate reporting.
• Prepare monthly statements, management reports, and performance metrics.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to senior leadership on financial performance.
• Monitor margins and operating expenses; identify cost control opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and project teams to improve processes.
