Job summary

Gateway Group Personnel is looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations within our manufacturing and distribution environment in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience in manufacturing cost accounting, and a proven ability to manage daily accounting functions.

Responsibilities include leading close processes, maintaining ledger accuracy, and developing internal controls. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 6+ years of related experience are required. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or public accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, job costing, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, lead projects, and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes; prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain accuracy of the general ledger, inventory valuation, and standard costing.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
