Job summary

Amcor is seeking an experienced engineer to manage complex capital projects for PET preforms and rigid containers, overseeing multiple sites from concept to qualification and ensuring productivity, timing, and budget adherence.

The role requires seven+ years in plastics packaging with project management experience, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams while traveling about 60% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum of seven years professional engineering experience in the plastics packaging industry, including seven years of project management experience.
• Knowledge of plant layouts and infrastructure equipment.
• Proven experience managing multiple resources and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Create bills of materials for new capital projects and provide support for the capital appropriation process.
• Ensure that corporate safety and environmental requirements are incorporated into the project scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into an action implementation plan with cost and timing criteria.
• Review plant infrastructure, layout and equipment against project requirements; develop plans for upgrades.
• Analyze and evaluate performance and cost of equipment and processes.
