Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Senior Capital Projects Manager to oversee complex manufacturing projects for PET preforms and rigid containers. You will manage initiatives from conception through qualification across multiple sites, ensuring productivity, timing, and budget alignment, while supporting cost-reduction efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience in plastics packaging and 7+ years project management.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience managing multiple resources and on-site projects from concept to completion.
• Experience with SPC and plant infrastructure evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Create bills of materials for new capital projects and support the capital appropriation process.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are incorporated into project scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into an actionable implementation plan with cost and timing alignment.
• Review plant infrastructure and equipment against project requirements; plan upgrades and expansion.
• Analyze performance and cost of equipment, tooling, workflow, and vendors.
• Communicate and resolve technical, timing and budget issues; publish weekly status reports.
• Create and maintain division-level technical specifications and documentation for Operations Engineering.
• Regularly communicate with plants to understand long-term project performance and support issue resolution.
• Review CEAV requests for accuracy and compliance with standards.
