Mrs. Gerry’s Kitchen, LLC in Albert Lea, MN, seeks a 1st Shift Bilingual (English/Spanish) Supervisor to lead production and packaging. You will back up the Production Manager, enforce HACCP/SOPs, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency across operations.

The role requires a two-year technical certificate, 3+ years supervisory experience, and fluent Spanish. Forklift and CPR/First Aid training are provided on the job.

Formación

• Two-year certificate from college or related technical field.
• Minimum of three years supervisory experience in an operations environment.
• Fluent or native level of Spanish to translate & interpret.
• Read/interpret safety rules and procedures in English and Spanish.
• Speak effectively before employees in both languages.
• Forklift license provided upon employment; First aid/CPR training provided.

Directs and coordinates the personnel, production, and packaging of products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates in both English and Spanish.

What You’ll Do

As our 1 st Shift Bilingual (English/Spanish) Supervisor, you’ll:

• Serve as a primary back up for the Production Manager.
• Know and follow HACCP, SOPs and SQF programs.
• Cover Team Leader responsibilities that have time off.
• Know and follow all Food Safety procedures.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment. For more information, see policy.
• Monitor cleanliness within the plant as required by HACCP.
• Assist in production activities to help insure it is running smoothly, and quality is being met.
• Watch and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Support, make, and implement management decisions.
• Resolve problems and drive continuous improvement. Promote a positive work environment.
• Responsible for the compliance to production standards and product yields. Communication of results to team members.
• Evaluation of personnel.
• Management of overtime requirements.
• Evaluate, support, and ensure proper training of employees. Retrain when necessary.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Two-year certificate from college or, other related technical field (experience may be considered in lieu of certificate).
• A minimum of three years of supervisory experience in an operations environment
• Must exhibit a fluent or native level of knowledge of the Spanish language to translate & interpret.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in both English and Spanish
• Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization in both English and Spanish.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in both English and Spanish.
• Pallet jack and forklift license will be required and provided upon employment
• First aid and CPR training will be required and provided upon employment
• Ability to drive efficiency and productivity through new processes and technologies
