Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Associate I to perform repetitive sub-assembly and assembly tasks with basic complexity. You will prepare, position, and assemble components, inspect work, and document steps.

The role supports prototype projects and cross-trains for higher levels. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, up to 1 year of manufacturing experience, and the ability to read drawings and Bills of Materials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 0–1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and bills of materials.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Study assembly instructions, blueprint specs, and parts lists to prepare work.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates and measurements.
• Assemble components and inspect connections for proper fit and fastening.
• Assist in prototypes or basic projects outside normal production as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and document production/quality forms.
• Train new hires or coworkers in basic assembly tasks when required.
