Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate on the Bindery 3rd Shift. No bindery experience is required—we will train you to operate high‑speed equipment and contribute to book production.

You will work as part of a team, loading materials, performing hand operations, and ensuring quality while meeting daily production goals. A strong work ethic and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Mechanical inclination and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into bindery machines.
• Pack books into cartons and label consistently.
• Move materials and products safely to/from workstations.
• Perform hand operations as required on the line.
• Work with teammates to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products for quality compliance.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.

Manufacturing Associate – Bindery 3 rd Shift

What You’ll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you. We’re looking for people who:

• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• One year of previous manufacturing or related experience
• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast‑paced, team‑oriented production floor
• Lift up to 20 lbs occasionally
