Sheridan is hiring a Manufacturing Associate for Finishing/Bindery on the Nighttime Shift (7p–7a). We train you to operate high-speed bindery equipment, helping you build a long-term career in print manufacturing.

No bindery experience is required—we value hands-on learners with a mechanical mindset and a readiness to grow within a safety‑minded team. Training and career development are provided as you contribute to quality production.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in manufacturing or related fields.
• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and safety rules.
• Basic math; read measuring devices.
• Mechanically inclined; comfortable using basic tools.
• Reliable team player.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into machine.
• Pack books into cartons.
• Move materials and finished books safely to/from workstation.
• Perform hand operations as required.
• Work with a team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products for quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and keep workspace clean.

What You'll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We're Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we'll train you.We're looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skillsAre mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It's a plus if you have

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
