Job summary

Sheridan is seeking a Manufacturing Associate for Finishing/Bindery on the overnight shift (7pm–7am). We'll train you to operate high‑speed bindery equipment and contribute to quality books and printed materials.

You’ll work hands-on on a fast-paced production floor, lift up to 50 lbs, and join a supportive team with overtime opportunities and comprehensive benefits after 30 days. No prior bindery experience is required; we train you.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Basic math skills (add/subtract); ability to use a measuring device
• Mechanical inclination; comfortable using basic tools
• Team player with reliability and quality focus
• Read basic job instructions and measurements

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We're Looking For

• Have experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It's a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
