Job summary

BD is seeking a Manufacturing Area Leader to own production lines, driving safety, quality, and delivery while ensuring adherence to BD quality systems. The role requires strong leadership, on-site presence, and clear communication across shifts.

You will coach line associates, lead maintenance initiatives, review schedules, and push continuous improvement. Approximately 65% of time is spent on the manufacturing floor with daily Tier meetings and proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 5 years in a highly automated environment.
• Professional Certification (Leadership Training, College Coursework) required.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive achievement of Safety, Quality, and Delivery on production lines.
• Provide daily coaching and development for line associates to strengthen capabilities.
• Lead initiatives including Safety programs, Autonomous Maintenance, 5S, Tier meetings, and root cause reduction.
• Analyze line losses, identify performance gaps, and set priorities for the production team.
• Align line priorities with manufacturing unit objectives and business goals.
• Drive continuous improvement to hit short- and long-term targets.
