Job summary

BD is a leading global medical technology company. The Manufacturing Unit Leader will be responsible for people, processes and production within a designated unit, ensuring SQDC objectives are met while complying with quality systems and regulatory requirements.

The role requires prioritizing activities, developing teams, and driving continuous improvement and cost optimization. It involves budgeting, staffing, and a strong floor presence to coach and empower hourly associates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Industrial Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years manufacturing leadership experience and ability to complete a bachelor's degree within 18 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Set production schedules with Planning and monitor performance against delivery commitments.
• Develop and coach a high-performing manufacturing team and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement using BD Excellence tools to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Manage budgets, headcount, and staffing plans to align with operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with BD quality systems and safety regulations.
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor to support operations.
