Job summary

BD, a global medical technology leader, seeks an Manufacturing Area Leader to own lines and processes, delivering targets and OEE. The role emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and strong leadership on the floor, with 65% time spent on the manufacturing floor.

English communication, adherence to BD values, and compliance with quality systems are required. The candidate will coach line associates, drive AM and 5S initiatives, and coordinate with PM and QA teams to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Leadership training or formal leadership certifications preferred.
• Experience coaching line associates and driving safety/compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Own safety, quality, and delivery goals for production lines and drive target achievement.
• Provide daily coaching and development for line associates to build EO attitude.
• Lead safety programs, autonomous maintenance, 5S and top‑loss reduction initiatives.
• Analyze line losses, identify gaps, and set priorities for production teams.
• Coordinate production schedules and daily Pit Stop meetings to update targets.
• Ensure root cause investigations are completed and corrective actions implemented.
