MK Search is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the accounting function in a hands-on, growth-oriented environment in San Antonio. The role offers visibility and an opportunity to shape processes as the company expands revenue and workforce.

The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, ERP and advanced Excel skills, and a track record in leading a small team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• The candidate will own a full accounting function and close process.
• Proven manufacturing and cost accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting skills.
• Experience with sales tax, audits and tax support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full month-end and year-end close, including GL, journal entries, accruals and financial reporting.
• Own day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR oversight, bank reconciliations, inventory accounting and payroll reconciliation.
• Lead manufacturing cost accounting including inventory, costing, variances and related analysis.
• Own sales tax, audit coordination and tax-related activities.
• Support forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis with leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, reporting and efficiency.
• Lead and develop a small accounting team, including one direct report.
