Job summary

Tarkett, a manufacturing leader, seeks an Accounting Manager at our Dalton, GA plant. You will oversee day-to-day accounting, AP processing, and three-way match controls while driving accruals, fixed assets, and lease accounting.

You will report to the Controller and collaborate with plant operations and corporate finance. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of manufacturing accounting experience, strong controls, and proficiency with CAMS, Sage, Blackline, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA license preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or plant-support environment.
• Hands-on experience with three-way match controls, accrual accounting, fixed asset accounting, IFRS 16 lease accounting and GL consolidation.
• Prefer system proficiency in CAMS, Sage (ERP), Blackline (account reconciliation/close automation), and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Prior experience managing or mentoring other employees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounts payable processing for the plant and ensure timely, policy-compliant disbursements.
• Strengthen three-way match controls to prevent pricing, quantity, and duplicate payments discrepancies.
• Serve as primary contact for audit requests related to AP, AR, accruals, fixed assets, lease assets and GL close.
• Manage month-end accrual accounting and ensure expenses are recorded in the correct period.
• Lead month-end close for plant finance, including post-close trial balance and reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset and leased asset ledgers, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and verifications.
• Lead GL consolidation for the plant and resolve intercompany/elimination discrepancies.
• Collaborate with procurement and operations to resolve invoice exceptions and ensure timely capital project spend reconciliations.
