Job summary

Grainger is seeking an Account Manager in a hybrid role covering Ghent, Carrollton, Gallatin, KY and surrounding areas. You will manage an average 5-10 accounts with annual sales of $6.5M–$7M and visit customers daily, using Salesforce CRM to drive solutions and growth.

You will report to the District Sales Manager and build strong customer relationships, anticipate needs, and progress opportunities through the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct outside sales experience.
• Proven ability to forecast and manage opportunities.
• Ability to plan for accounts and geography effectively.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer goals and be responsive to changing needs.
• Demonstrate market data knowledge and access to resources.
• Oversee managed inventory tasks to understand customers and grow sales.
• Understand Grainger's Value Proposition and provide solutions to grow profitable sales.
• Develop account penetration strategies with regular business reviews.
