Job summary

Grainger in Staunton, VA is seeking an Account Manager to drive sales across a defined geography. The role is hybrid in location and will require regular visits to existing customers using Salesforce CRM to manage activities daily.

You will report to the District Sales Manager of Manufacturing, with a base pay range and an incentive program based on individual and company performance. Travel to customers is required monthly in the assigned market.

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct outside sales experience.
• Sales forecasting and customer planning.
• Travel required to each customer within aligned market at least once per month.
• Process discipline and pipeline development.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer goals and respond to changing needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of market data and respond to new developments in the customer’s business.
• Oversee managed inventory tasks to increase understanding of customers and sales results.
• Understand Grainger's Value Proposition by providing solutions to grow profitable sales.
• Develop account penetration strategies with regular business reviews for essential customers.
