Job summary

Grainger, a leading MRO distributor, seeks an Account Manager in a hybrid role covering a defined geography. You will drive positive sales growth by leveraging Grainger's CRM and resources, managing 15 current accounts averaging $1.5M–$2M annually, and reporting to the District Sales Manager of Manufacturing.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of direct outside sales experience. Travel monthly to customers is expected, with a focus on forecasting and pipeline development

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct outside sales experience.
• Travel required to each customer within aligned market at least once per month.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer goals and respond to changing needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of market data and resources to respond to developments in the customer's business.
• Oversee support of managed inventory tasks to support understanding of customers and increase sales.
• Understand Grainger's Value Proposition by providing solutions to grow profitable sales.
• Develop account penetration strategies including regular business reviews for essential customers.
