Job summary

Grainger Account Managers drive sales growth across a defined geography, handling 15-20 accounts with annual revenue of $2.5M–$3M. You will use Salesforce to manage daily activities and report to the District Sales Manager of Manufacturing.

The role demands 3+ years of outside sales experience, strong forecasting, pipeline management, and periodic travel to customer sites, typically once per month.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of direct outside sales experience.
• Experience in sales forecasting, opportunity management and customer planning.
• Travel to customers within the aligned market at least monthly.
• Ability to align planning goals with a pipeline development process to grow market revenue.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer goals and respond to changing needs.
• Demonstrate market data knowledge and access to resources.
• Oversee managed inventory support to increase sales and contacts.
• Explain Grainger's Value Proposition to grow profitable sales.
• Develop account penetration strategies including regular business reviews.
