Job summary

Grainger is seeking an Account Manager to drive sales growth across a defined geography. You will manage 30-35 current accounts and target $2–$3.5M in annual revenue, using Salesforce CRM to perform daily activities and reporting to the District Sales Manager of Manufacturing.

Role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years of outside sales experience, and strong forecasting and planning skills. Travel monthly to customer sites is expected, with a focus on building relationships and closing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of direct outside sales experience.
• Experience with sales forecasting and opportunity management.
• Travel to customers within the assigned market at least monthly.
• Ability to structure and manage pipeline to grow revenue.
• Ability to uncover customer objections and provide solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer goals and respond to changing needs.
• Demonstrate market knowledge and resource access to respond to developments.
• Oversee managed inventory support to increase customer contacts and sales.
• Explain Grainger’s value proposition to grow profitable sales.
• Develop account penetration strategies and conduct regular business reviews.
