Job summary

Torrey Holistics seeks an experienced machinist to operate manual lathes and mills from setup through inspection in Santa Clara. You will translate complex prints into precise parts, read GD&T, and verify with micrometers and calipers to maintain tight tolerances.

You’ll maintain tools, follow safety protocols, and contribute ideas to improve throughput and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manual machining experience in manufacturing or a job-shop.
• Fluent in reading engineering drawings and machining specifications.
• Comfortable with precision metrology and close-tolerance machining.

Responsibilities

• Run manual lathes and mills from setup to final inspection to meet spec.
• Decode drawings and GD&T to plan accurate operations.
• Measure with micrometers, calipers, and gauges; adjust as needed.
• Maintain tooling and fixtures; ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Suggest improvements to methods, throughput, and material flow.
