Job summary

Mobile Dredging & Video Pipe, headquartered in Chester, PA, is seeking a Payroll Clerk to report to the Controller and handle payroll in a manual environment. Location is Chester, PA with Monday–Friday day shifts and a pay range of $25.00–$30.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; relevant work experience is a plus.
• Experience manually entering payroll is a plus.
• Experience with multistate payroll and prevailing wage compliance.
• Advanced PC skills including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Gather, receive, and manually process payroll hours.
• Update employee payroll data including taxes, benefits, and deductions.
• Reconcile hours for union and nonunion employees per contracts.
• Maintain employee records and onboarding for payroll and benefits.
• Answer questions from new hires and current employees about pay and benefits.
• Ensure accurate payroll deductions and timely reporting to relevant parties.
• Handle terminated employee reporting and state filing requirements.
• Assist with year-end and quarterly payroll reporting (W-2s, 941, 940, 1095).
