Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders to machine parts to exact specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine machining requirements.
• Select and install proper cutting tools, workpieces, and fixtures for efficient machining operations.
• Adjust machine settings, speeds, and feeds to optimize part accuracy and surface finish.
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other inspection tools to verify tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of manual machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols and best practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with engineers, welders, and fabricators to support production and custom manufacturing projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Manual Machinist in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Strong understanding of manual machining techniques and metalworking processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Experience with precision measuring tools and quality inspection techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize production processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
