Essential Job Functions

• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns.
• Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values.
• Operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts and instruments.
• Reviews engineering specifications for work orders and performs calculations to determine the appropriate tools, materials, and sequence of cutting and finishing operations.
• Measures, examines, and tests completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments.
• Aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
• Monitors the accuracy of machining work.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience with manual lathes, vertical turret lathes, or horizontal boring mills required.
• Ability to read calipers and micrometers preferred.
• Ability to provide all hand tools needed to complete daily tasks as specified by the Shop Foreman.

Work Conditions

Position is based out of Alvin. Work is performed in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels. Must be able to wear safety equipment as required for personal protection.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.
• Must be able to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties.
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Sufficient manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations.
• Sufficient mobility to maneuver within a refinery or plant environment, including access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
