Job Summary

The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating CNC machines, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and quality standards. This role reports to the Shop General Manager and does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment following safety standards and regulations.
2. Follow TEAM’s Core Values and perform duties accordingly.
3. Interpret work orders and engineering specifications, including geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
4. Edit CNC programs at mills and lathes, including entering instructions and setting tool parameters.
5. Calculate machining requirements using math, geometry, and trigonometry.
6. Set up mills and lathes with appropriate fixtures, tools, and work-holding devices.
7. Monitor and maintain machining specifications, troubleshoot malfunctions, and measure parts for quality.
8. Adjust cutting parameters to optimize tool life and part quality, replacing worn tools as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or relevant technical training preferred.
• 2-3 years of related industry experience preferred.
• Travel requirements: 0%-25%.

Work Conditions

• Position based at a branch or site location.
• Work involves indoor and outdoor tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Interaction with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.
• Work around machinery with high noise levels; safety equipment required.
• May involve travel and working at multiple sites.
