Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist for 1st shift in Moody, AL. The role focuses on setting up and operating manual machines to repair and overhaul large Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump components and related equipment, with emphasis on precision and safety.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, selecting tools, maintaining tight tolerances, and working with lifting equipment; on-site, with potential overtime and weekend hours. On-site at Moody facility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a machinist or machine operator.
• 2+ years reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Knowledge of machine setup and operation.
• Experience with tools and equipment for precision measurement.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machines to repair and overhaul large pump components.
• Read blueprints and use measuring tools to maintain tolerances as low as 0.0005 inches.
• Select cutting tools and set speeds/feeds for proper surface finish.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane safely; follow EH&S and QMS processes.
