We are looking to expand our team by adding a skilled Manual Machinist with experience in machining parts and the ability to maintain high precision and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with manual lathes, mills, and grinders. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is proficient in using precision measuring tools, reading part drawings, and holding tight tolerances. The successful candidate will work in a manufacturing environment focused on Thermal Metal Spraying, producing high-quality parts that meet exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements and specifications.
• Utilize micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet strict tolerances.
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
• Monitor machining processes, make adjustments as necessary, and maintain high quality control standards.
• Work closely with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures and protocols.
• Inspect and measure completed work to ensure it meets the required specifications.
• Work with minimal supervision and be proactive in identifying and solving production challenges.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manual Machinist with a focus on lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proven ability to work with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances and produce high-quality parts.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Thermal Metal Spraying or similar industry.
• Solid understanding of machining principles and the ability to troubleshoot machinery and processes.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
  
  

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience in Thermal Metal Spraying or surface coating applications (a plus, but not required).
• Familiarity with CNC machines and automation (a plus, but not required).
• Knowledge of various metals and materials used in machining and coating processes.
