Position Description:

Manual operators may work with tools and equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drilling presses, and grinders. They use these tools to cut, sand, drill, face, and turn materials for manufacturing or repairing parts.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Calculate dimensions.
• Inspect the workstation to ensure machinery and equipment are in proper working order, set up machines, and load materials.
• Maintain tool settings within tolerances.
• Adjust controls to correct for variations in tool settings.
• Monitor machining processes to ensure quality and precision.
• Make adjustments to machine settings as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance.
• Inspect finished products using inspection tools like calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of machine equipment, tooling, and processes.
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
