Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking a Physician Assistant for the Emergency Department in Manhattan. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care under supervision, perform therapeutic and prescriptive measures, and participate in the interdisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient flow.

Minimum qualifications include a BA-PA, NYS PA license, and NCCPA certification; BLS is required. Preferred ACLS/PALS/NRP.

Qualifications

• To qualify you must have a Physician Assistant Bachelor's Degree (BA-PA).
• Current New York State Physician Assistant License.
• NCCPA Board Certification.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Supports the mission and goals of the institution and clinical service.
• Educates patients and families to promote healthy adjustments.
• Evaluates treatment plans and modifies per clinical standards.
• Prescribes medications and medical equipment per practice protocol.
• Works with the interdisciplinary team to develop and monitor clinical studies and outcomes.
• Maintains PA board certification and CME requirements.
