Under an Attending Physician, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic tasks, provide comprehensive patient care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Required NYS PA license, PA degree, and BLS/ACLS with PALS as delineated. This role emphasizes patient assessment, acute care, and adherence to hospital protocols in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifikationen

• Current New York State Physician Assistant License
• BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS required per delineation of privileges

Aufgaben

• Elicit detailed and accurate history and perform appropriate physical examinations on inpatients and outpatients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs BLS and ACLS procedures in life-threatening situations when a Physician is unavailable.
• Assists supervisor Physician and backup Physicians on other procedures within the scope of practice.
• Instructs and counsels patients and families about preventive care, medical problems, treatments, and medications.
• Participates in team conferences, lectures and grand rounds.
• Participates in daily rounds to observe progress and document changes.
• Initiates consultations and refers for tests as per protocols.
• Performs procedures including drawing blood, urinalysis, suturing, biopsies, and more.
