Job summary

NYU Langone Health invites a skilled Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department at Woodhull. Under the supervision of an Attending Physician, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and render comprehensive patient care. Eligible candidates must hold a NYS PA license and PA degree with BLS/ACLS; PALS is required.

You will participate in rounds and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced ED setting.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Physician Assistant License.
• Physician Assistant Bachelor’s Degree.
• BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS required per delineation of privileges.

Responsibilities

• Elicit detailed history and perform physical examinations on inpatients and outpatients.
• Performs BLS and ACLS procedures in life-threatening situations when a Physician is unavailable.
• Orders and interprets laboratory tests, x-ray, EKGs, and writes prescriptions per protocols.
• Participates in daily rounds, conferences, and patient education.
