Job Title: Mandarin Interpreter

Contract Details: Full-time, 1099 contract / C2C contract if located in CA or NY

Grupo Noa International is a leading language service provider that offers translation and interpretation services to clients worldwide. We are currently seeking a Mandarin Interpreter to join our team on a full-time, remote basis.

As a Mandarin US Based Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and professional interpretation services to clients in the financial, social, insurance, and medical fields through OPI. This includes interpreting between Mandarin-speaking patients and professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-demand OPI interpretation services for appointments, consultations, and procedures
• Interpret accurately and efficiently between Mandarin-speaking patients and professionals
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and codes of ethics
• Collaborate with other interpreters and team members to ensure high-quality services are provided to clients
• Stay up-to-date with medical and financial terminology and procedures to ensure accurate interpretation
• Handle multiple assignments and prioritize tasks effectively

Requirements:

• Fluent in Mandarin and English, with excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages
• At least 1 year of experience doing VRI, OPI, or face-to-face interpretation
• Familiarity with medical and financial terminology and OPI protocols and procedures
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Reliable internet connection and access to necessary technology for remote work
• Professional and courteous demeanor
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and codes of ethics

Technical Requirements:

• Minimum 8GB RAM
• Minimum 6th gen processor (i3 8GB RAM), i5 4GB RAM, i7 4GB RAM, or Ryzen 3000 series or newer
• 10MB Download and 5MB Upload Speed
• Must have USB Headsets
• Must have a LAN Cable connection

Schedule:

Availability to work 6 to 8 hours per day between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm EST.
