Role Overview

Sodexo Healthcare is currently searching for a Managing Sales VP - Hospitals. Responsible for leading sales and business development activities and territory sales teams within the Healthcare Segment, reporting to the Chief Sales Officer for Healthcare/Seniors. Advising the business in the development and evolution of the segment's go-to-market strategy, developing sales approaches and resources, and leading strategic bids to achieve economic and commercial performance.

This is a remote role with the ideal candidate residing in the Southwest Region of the U.S. and close to a major airport. This position requires 30-65% travel.

What You'll Do
  1. Create a positive, collaborative, enabled sales team culture - Lead and mentor a professional team of sales executives to achieve growth ambitions, successful performance, and professional fulfillment.
  2. Drive ambitious growth – Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand and renew business. Engage in enterprise consultative selling with complex deal teams within the organization and client. Lead a team that identifies and wins new business through proactive deal creation and responding to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) for new accounts, cross-sales, and retention.
  3. Navigate and lead in cross-functional matrixed organizations – Foster relationships and work closely with operations, marketing, HR, and finance teams.
  4. Thrive in team selling & partnership development – Collaborate with hospital C-suite executives and decision-makers to develop custom contracts for complex managed contract services.
  5. Market Analysis – Assess data, industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging healthcare regulations to provide thought leadership and inform business decisions.
  6. Utilize digital tools – Leverage sales technology for visibility and continuous improvement through data and insights.
  7. Client Relationship Management – Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and proactive issue resolution.
  8. Support contract negotiations – Assist sales executives in leading negotiations with tailored terms for each client.
  9. Issue Resolution – Act as a problem solver for internal and external challenges, ensuring smooth buying and selling experiences and organizational alignment.
