Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Managing Director for Technology, Media & Telecommunications Banking in the US. The role leads coverage and relationships across the TMT sector within Corporate & Institutional Banking, driving profitable growth and long-term client engagement.

The candidate will manage relationships at executive levels, oversee credit/KYC processes, and coordinate cross-border teams to deliver complex, event-driven transactions with measurable impact for HSBC and its clients.

Qualifications

• Track record of building & developing relationships at Treasurer/CFO/CEO/Board Level.
• Ability to develop a strategic dialogue with clients.
• Industry expert with deep sector knowledge.
• Proven record of leading and motivating deal teams.
• Excellent knowledge of HSBC Group and products and a wide network across business areas.
• Proven record of proactively originating and executing event-driven business.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Head of TMT Banking to manage strategy including people and client strategy.
• Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key decision makers.
• Reposition the firm to higher value solicitation and enhance its market perception.
• Coordinate origination and execution of major deals and significant flows.
• Grow HSBC’s share of client wallet across sectors and geographies.
• Drive revenue targets, product alignment, and client satisfaction.
• Lead and coach sector/advisory teams and support change initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external rules and maintain controls.
